Something From The Voice Man
Greetings fight fans, JD Lyons here and I look forward to giving my personal thoughts, opinions, (the good, the bad, and the ugly) and insights on the Memphis boxing scene! From my perspective as a Ring Announcer and fellow boxing fan. Obviously I don't just work shows in Memphis, but rather all over the country - but let me say this - the fight fans in the Mid-South are second to none. Over the years you have consistently attended both the smaller, local "casino" shows as well as the big "World Championships" at the FedX Forum, and I have enjoyed seeing many of the same faces each and every time a fight comes around.
It's fight fans like you that keep the sport I love so much going strong. I salute the fight fans of the Mid-South, and look forward to seeing you at the fights as well as throwing my "2 cents worth" in on this blog!
